                                                            Report Examples

SuccessMaker has a variety of comprehensive, but easily understood reports and assessment tools, designed to give precise, clear information to principals, teachers, parents and Board of Trustees. Some examples are as follows:

                                                            Summary Reports

Teachers ask: What is the overall progress of the class? Is the class meeting goals?
The Cumulative Gains Report presents information about the progress of student groups as well as individuals.  The information includes total time spent in each course, the current course level and the gains made.

Teachers ask: How can I base my instruction on specific student needs? Can I get up-to-date information without endless testing?
The Grouping By Areas of Difficulty Report helps form groups of students with the same needs.  These reports let teachers teach, not sort through data.

Teachers ask: Can I easily identify those students working below curriculum level?
The Performance Percentages Report shows individual areas of low or deteriorating performance at a glance. Teachers can focus attention on the students needing extra support.

Teachers ask: How can I accelerate the learning of students so they will catch up? How much time do they need?
The Prescriptive Scheduling Report displays the additional time needed by each individual student to reach a target goal in fundamentals in maths or reading. Giving some students extra time on the computer and other instructional support will enable them to achieve this goal.

                                                            Individual Reports of Student Progress

Teachers ask: What are the areas of difficulty my students are having?
The Course Report provides detailed information about an individual student's performance and progress.  It includes performance and gains information, and identifies the student's specific areas of difficulty in plain language.  It also contains information about the student's use of the Help resource.

Teachers ask: How can I see what my students are writing?
The computer based notebook activities and portfolios can be used as a best work portfolio or a continuous progress portfolio.  As students work in the SuccessMaker courseware, they make predictions, report, solve problems and share their thoughts.  All work is saved as a writing file and placed in their online portfolio

                                                            Year End Reports of Accountability

Technology HOD's ask: Are we using our technology resources well?
The Group Usage Report lists total time for each student. This report can be used for making decisions about allocation of resources.

School Boards ask: What is the measurable impact of the programme on student achievement?
The Progress Report – graphically presents student growth. In this example the graph is indicating the growth in functional levels for four students in the maths course.
